Methodology & Programs

Methodology
Over the years, Makkala Jagriti has been fine tuning the holistic development learning model, to address the gap in children’s learning.

How?
We build capacity for community people and government school teachers to bring a paradigm shift in their approach from being a ‘teacher on a stage’ to a ‘sage by the side’.
Our programs are conducted through activities, experiments, awareness building, experiential methodology and mentoring.

Each session begins with a large circle activity, which may involve a song, body movement or an ice breaker. The children then split up and work on the activity in smaller groups, allowing them to focus more closely on the task, so that each child’s voice is heard. The last part of the session brings the whole group together again, involving reflection about the activity and a sharing of their experiences.
