Building Strong Foundations, Even in the Hardest Places

As a Supervisor in H D Kote Taluk, Mysore, Rajitha N works in remote villages where reaching an Anganwadi itself can mean travelling without network or basic access. For her, the effort is purposeful — she believes every child deserves a strong foundation.

Parents often share that when Anganwadis are strengthened, children move through school with greater ease and confidence. Rajitha sees this firsthand. She also works closely with Gram Panchayats, BDOs, and communities to address child marriage — a pressing concern in the region. Through awareness, coordination, and timely action, several child marriages have been prevented, and legal action taken where necessary.
For Rajitha, protecting early education is inseparable from protecting childhood itself — because today’s children are tomorrow’s citizens.
